August Health supports senior living communities with modern, design-led tools that prioritize clarity and ease of use. In a space long dominated by rigid, legacy systems, the platform takes a more human approach, fitting naturally into the flow of real caregiving work rather than forcing teams to adapt to the software.
The challenge was to design tools that could support real caregiving work without slowing people down. Care teams needed software that worked in motion, on mobile devices, and under pressure. Managers needed visibility into care delivery without having to piece together reports or dashboards after the fact.
I worked full-time as a product designer at August Health, leading the redesign of caregiver workflows and eMAR. My focus was on clarity, ease of use, and alignment with real senior living caregiving needs.
The redesigned mobile caregiver experience helped make daily caregiving work feel cleaner, faster, and less stressful. Caregivers were better able to find what they needed, understand their responsibilities, and move through their day with confidence.
Managers benefited from clearer dashboards that made care activity easier to understand at a glance. While outcomes were not measured through formal metrics, the improved clarity and usability supported August Health’s continued growth as a modern alternative to legacy senior living software.
